Etoro Locked Me Out of My Account After Upgrading My Phone
Logging into my eToro account on my new phone, which has the same phone number, turned into a total disaster. The app repeatedly claimed that my number was linked to another account and urged me to set up a new account to confirm my current one. This resulted in me having to create a brand new account, which left me entirely locked out of my previous one. I attempted to contact them via their “open a ticket” system, but the responses I received were not helpful at all, including a link to a YouTube video that was no longer available. Unfortunately, none of the other suggestions were effective either. No way to reach someone by phone, no actual person to communicate with, and no genuine solutions available. I’ve lost a considerable amount of money simply due to upgrading my phone. I find myself trapped in a never-ending cycle of verification, unable to access my investments at all. This has been an incredibly frustrating experience, and eToro's support seems utterly ineffective.
